The term blizzard has often been disputed. The National Weather service has the official definition and its "A storm with considerable falling or blowing snow and wind in excess of 35 mph and visiblities of less than 1/4 than a mile for at least 3 hours."

March 1993: A Blizzard so huge it killed 310 people in the NorthEastern part of the United States. Citys get 50'+ of snow and wind gusts of up to 110 mph.

This storm was the biggest storm ever recorded in the United States. This formed from a huge wind almost land hurrican that came up into New England.
