Studies have linked eating a typical Western diet with a higher rates of depression, stress, bipolar disorder and anxiety. Eating an unhealthy diet may even play a role in de development of mental health disorders.

On the other hand, eating more fresh fruits and vegetables and cooking meals at home may help to improve mood and lower your risk for mental health problem.

CUT DOWN ON SUGAR AND SALT

A very big problem is the added sugar in our food. As well as creating weight problems, too much sugar causes energy spikes and has been linked to diabetes and depression.

Salt is another ingredient that is frequently added to food to improve taste. Your body needs less than one gram of salt a day. Eating too much salt can cause high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease and memory loss.

FALSE MYTHS OF HEALTHY DIET
  1. You shouldn´t eat dinner (or anything else) after 7 pm.
  2. Your body doesn´t need carbohydrates. Carbs makes you fat.
  3. Juicing is healthy and cleansing is necessary.
  4. Gluten is bad.
COMPLETE A BALANCED DIET...

You can complete a balanced diet with sport, rest, socialise (family&friends) and spending time doing something you love. Being happy is very healthy!
