Why UK?

Reasons I Considered Kentucky:

Division I sports to watch and intramural sports to play
I am in the top quarter of my class
Lots of Activities on Campus

Hilliard, Ohio is 3 hours away from Lexington, Kentucky
General Information
Lexington, Kentucky

Urban Campus

One of the Top 60 Public Universities in the Country

Division I Sports

Kentucky Basketball

Fraternities and Sororities are popular on campus

Male to Female Ratios
Most Popular Majors

I would like to major in business, I want to major in business because there is a lot you can with that. For me I'd like to do something on the business side of sports.

Student Admission is "Rolling Admission"
ACT Scores
SAT Scores
Most Dorms are for Freshman

Many Upperclassmen live in Sorority/Fraternity houses or in apartments off campus

Out of State Tuition

UK offers meal plans and "flex credits"- each meal gives you a certain number of "swipes" per week to be used in the dining halls and the flex credits may be used at restaraunts like Chipotle and Chic-fil-A

A meal plan of 10 swipes a week and 300 flex credits is $1,400

Kentucky offers many activities

UK Basketball Games are very popular

Greek Life is popular on campus

Many sororities/fraternities are involved in philantrophy

Something that really stood out to me was how big the difference between in-state and out-of-state costs are. This is still a reasonable college choice and I would like to go to the University of Kentucky. I would recommend anyone who is looking for a bigger school with a lot of social activities on campus attend UK.
