Running a Half-Marathon My life goal to one day complete this challenge

One of my goals in life is to run a half marathon. I love running, and participate in the JMS Cross Country and Track teams. Being extra physically challenged, I struggle at some parts of the journey.

I have completed many 5k's, in which you run 3.1 miles. I plan to complete many more 5k's in the future. I strive to one day reach my goal of running a half marathon, in which you run 13.1 miles. I treasure Dr. Steve Maraboli's quote that states, "Don't limit yourself to someone else's opinion of your capabilities. Be you. Dream, plan, execute!

According to Runner's World, the best way to train for a half marathon includes incresing your mileage each time you run. For best results, don't run every day. Running every day could ware your body down faster. Pick a few days to do a speed workout as well. Training for a half marathon does not include going outside and running for every workout. You have to be strong, so make sure to incorporate a strength training exercise.
