Ruth Ansel

Ansel was born in New York, NY and studied Fine Art at Alfred University.
Ansel became one of the youngest art directors in the history of magazines and pushed the boundaries of magazine design. She made covers for Harper's Bazaar, The New York Times Magazine and Vanity Fair. It is said that her art "defined her time".
In an interview with index magazine, Ansel said "I had no knowledge of fashion and little knowledge of photography, but I knew that I loved film." This shows how she just loved film, so she became an artist
