5 W's and H of my Career Post College

I want to work for The West Coast Game Park Safari in Bandon, Oregon as an animal caretaker/ part of the show staff.

I will be presenting the animal ambassadors to the public throughout the day and must feel comfortable speaking in front of small-large crowds. I will also be providing general husbandry to the animal collection.

The requirements to get this job are a High School Degree/GED; Preference for further education, the ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and maintain good physical health, and availability based on part-time with possibility of full-time seasonal employment. Some Preferred Qualifications are College-level coursework in Animal Biology or other life sciences, previous experience working/caring for animals (farm, veterinary office, shelter, etc.), and public speaking experience. Besides education and some experience, personality and the ability to work with biting, scratching, and moody animals (and people!) is required to make this position a good fit.

The degree I need to make this job a reality is a bachelor of biological science. I learned the necessary skills during high school, and in college(BYU).

This career interests me because I like animals, and I have been to the park many times and thought it was so fun and would love to take care of the animals there. I am the obvious choice because I am a hard worker, I love animals, I am responsible, good at following directions, and I’m friendly.
