Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month 2018

The Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month Celebration was created with a desire to educate and heighten awareness about the rich culture. As the population continues to grow at Clemson University, we are encouraged by our peers and the administration to create opportunities for all members of our campus community to celebrate and find value in the contributions of Hispanics and Latinos. Ultimately we hope to begin cultivating a true inclusive environment built upon a passion for learning and mutual respect.

This culminating event for Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month will include live entertainment and authentic food. Recognition awards will be presented to those individuals who have contributed to enhancing the campus climate for Hispanic and Latinx students, faculty, and staff.

National coming out week

CU Ally Walk

Starting at the front of Brackett Hall

As a part of National Coming Out Week, Sistas on the Move, CAPS, and the Harvey and Lucinda Gantt Multicultural Center will be hosting a Walk and Talk event. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to go on a dialogue-focused walk beginning at the front of Brackett Hall as people share their coming out stories, process allyship, and build community.

National Coming Out Day Festival

The annual National Coming Out Day Festival hosted by Clemson University's Sexuality and Gender Alliance (CU SAGA) and the Harvey and Lucinda Gantt Multicultural Center will be on October 11th, 3-6 p.m. Come out to the Carillon Gardens for games, popcorn, and friendship.

Global Awareness Film and Discussion Series: The Way He Looks

In honor of National Coming Out Week, Global Engagement, the Division of Student Affairs, and the Harvey and Lucinda Gantt Multicultural Center are coming together to bring another installment of the Global Awareness Film and Discussion series. Come out to view a film which explores and celebrates what the lived experiences of LGBTQ+ individuals are like across cultures.
