Jinja Material center transforming lives of urban youth

The story of transformations begins in Jinja Walukuba East

I am Basemera Ronald a resident of Walukuba East Ntege village and a student at Jinja material center.

with the skills i have learnt, i now ably provide for my self and partly contribute to the welfare of my 5 siblings. I believe that without the opportunity provided by this center, my story could have been deplorable.

After my primary six, my parents could not support me through further education. It was during that time that I was inspired to join friends that had earlier on got skills in making pre-cast building materials.

The Jinja material center project makes a huge impact to the Walukuba community. in addition to being a learning center for the youth, the facility provides accommodation facilities to guests and doubles as a multi-purpose community hall.
