West Highland Way MY 100 MILE TREK THROUGH THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS

In the summer of 2013, my best friend and I embarked upon a 100 mile hike through Scotland...heading north from Glasgow to Fort William

We started out bright eyed and fresh-faced...

Aubrey on the left, and that's me on the right (eating a pre-hike pastry!)

And 7 days later, we ended it beat up, sore, and wanting to do it all over again!

Posing with the "Tired Feet" statue at the end of the trail

But what we saw in between is the real story...

Cute animals!

Highland Cows, Sheep, and a dog named Tessa

Beautiful stone cabins...

The large, foggy, and lush Loch Lomond...

And ate some very...British...food

But of course, we saw some incredible, marvelous, jaw-dropping beauty

We felt on top of the world...

Even in our often wet, mosquito-filled tent!

Despite the blisters, bug bites, soggy sleeping bags, and tired feet...

I can't wait to do it again.
