Hermann Gourmet Cosmetics has received a rare honor! The legendary luxury car manufacturer Bentley Motors celebrates 100 extraordinary years in 2019. A century of pursuing one dream, “To build a fast car, a good car, the best in its class”, as the visionary W.O. Bentley himself once said. To mark their centennial celebration, Bentley Motors released special edition publications with celebratory details in their design and carefully curated collections of stories, photographic works and Bentley Lifestyle content, reflecting a century of quality and history on every page. Hermann Gourmet Cosmetics was selected and became a part of the Bentley Lifestyle as Bentley Motors carved their 100 year milestone. An extraordinary distinction given to a Cypriot brand for the first time!

The esteemed St James House Publications informed us with a surprise phone call (during an otherwise uneventful day at the office), that Hermann Gourmet Cosmetics had been selected to feature in the collectible and highly prestigious publication "Exploring the Extraordinary: 100 Years of Bentley Motors" as part of the Bentley Lifestyle. We knew immediately how important this invitation was for our Cypriot brand.

These motoring pioneers challenged the existing notions of speed, performance and craftsmanship.

Hermann Gourmet Cosmetics is a complete distilled sensation, developing the concept of “cosmetics of experience”. Memories are recalled and reconstructed by carefully distilling their scents, infusing them into luxurious perfumes, creams, balms, scrubs, soaps, candles and bath bombs to create a sensational reward. “We wanted to bring you the experience of standing inside a Cypriot garden in full bloom,” says Philio Hermann, the founder of Hermann Gourmet Cosmetics. “It is not only a part of our heritage but also a precious memory that is shared amongst islanders who enjoy the benefits of sunshine and fertile soil.” This concept has already captivated some of the world’s high-end cosmetics markets, including those of Paris, Tokyo and the Middle East. The brand’s recognition doesn’t come as a surprise. “Our quality standards and attention to detail are part of our company's culture and upkeeping them is the result of devoted team effort,” says Philio. “We invite you to embark on this journey with us, which has been exciting to say the least.”

Philio cooked up her first balm in her kitchen in Nicosia in 2014. Studying ancient beauty formulas she created the “Bee All” balm based on a Greco-Roman recipe that was more than 2,000 years old. “Our cosmetics were warmly embraced, people saying their skin felt amazing,” she says. “Our next bottled memory is always anticipated.” What’s called “clean skincare” is one of the biggest beauty trends of the moment and Hermann Gourmet Cosmetics’ lush concoctions, made from natural ingredients, include two edible lip scrubs (Strawberry & Vanilla Lip Scrub, Bubblegum Lip Scrub) and an indulgent face and body scrub made with real chocolate (Chocolate & Vanilla Face & Body Scrub). “Some of our products are good enough to eat,” says Philio. “They are made with the finest raw materials. Our products are also licensed as cruelty-free.”

Philio’s grandmother Maro G. Phili, the inspiration behind the brand logo and Miss Gardenia perfume, helped build this culture of excellence. “She always said I should try for the extraordinary,” says Philio. “She is an incredible woman.”

The centennial anniversary publication launch event took place in June 2019, at the historical Great Room JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, Mayfair, in central London. Vintage Bentley cars greeted the visitors, the lusciously yet elegantly decorated hall was softly illuminated by the opulent chandeliers, delicious food and sparkling champagne circulated in abundance, while a passionate, string quartet created an unparalleled atmosphere for the RREC & RROC exclusive members and the guests of the evening.

The JW Marriott Grosvenor House luxury hotel first opened in 1929. The Great Room is one of the largest five star Ballrooms in Europe.

The extraordinary history behind the British manufacturer can inspire even the most skeptic of readers. The publication "The Bentley Centenary Opus: 100 Carat Edition" will be released in only seven copies world-wide, each valued at €223,000. It is adorned with 100 carats of diamonds and the Bentley badge, set in a choice of white gold or platinum to enhance the jeweled border. This rare collectible publication is the ultimate experience in embellishment and decoration, celebrating 100 years of Bentley Motors in an extraordinary way. We became a part of this celebration of life, adding an important page to our history.
