The northern Miner Scholarship
About the award
With funding from The Northern Miner, YMP is pleased to provide one $5,000 scholarship to an individual with a vision for the future. Further, the best submitted essay will have an opportunity to be published in an issue of The Northern Miner.
How to apply
In 700 words, write an essay on what you think are the most important opportunities and challenges that the mining industry will face over the next fifty years.
The YMP scholarship review panel will value the creativity and eloquence of the essay along with academic excellence and extra-curricular involvement.
Application Instructions:
• Create a new folder on your computer titled “Firstname Lastname YourSchool YourProgram” and add:
- Your 700 word application
- Your most recent academic transcript
- Your updated resume
• Zip/compress this folder
• Click “Apply Now” below
• Click “Choose files” and upload your zipped/compressed folder as one file
