Just 2 weeks after the Tie-The-Knot Wedding Show I set up shop at ITM Events “Love Is Proud” Wedding Show. With one Wedding Show in the books I was so excited and a little more relaxed going into my 2nd show. The booth theme I went for was A Garden Party. I figured with it finally being March and Spring just around the corner (even though Winter Weather didn't finally go away till the beginning of this month) it would be a fun colorful theme. I created a design with lots of grass and greenery. I then added pops of color with a custom pom pom backdrop made by my good friend Jan of CKKitchen Designs, a sparkly champagne linen from Groovy Linen and beautiful floral arrangements from the amazing team at Ottawa Flowers. Top it all off with a little candle light which is always a nice calming touch. I was extremely happy with how the design turned out. My friends at E&M Photography also captured some beautiful shots you’ll see above and below in this post and throughout my site. As I’m always thinking ahead I think I’m going to make my “Garden Party” theme a tradition at this Wedding Show and continue to add in new and exciting trends and elements. Stay tuned for Garden Party 2.0 in 2018. The show was run by Angie of ITM Events and she did a fantastic job at hosting and making time to visit with all the vendors and guests. I’m so glad I finally got to meet her face to face as before we would just exchange emails for months before the event. Thanks again Angie & ITM Events for a fun well produced event. With the show in its second year, it was held at the beautiful Centurion Conference and events centre. The ballroom was beautifully lit and decorated. All the vendor booths were well designed and had beautiful and fun decor elements. Smaller show but very intimate and personal. I enjoyed being able to have more conversations with positional clients and during the down time watch the entertainment on the main stage and of course socialize with the amazing vendors in attendance at the event. This show is one of a kind here in Ottawa and so glad the LGBTQ community has something like this to attend in the area. It was lovely chatting with all the couples about their upcoming nuptials and so excited to be a part of this event.
