Introducing! Pluto Gang Band
We were super excited to have these neighbors out at the streatery for their day after album release pop up show.
Pluto Gang is a young six-piece band that has successfully manned the middle ground between traditional southern soul, driven by a lead vocalist, and the contemporary jam scene. Their sound fuses funk rhythms, progressive rock leads, and jazz-influenced textures with Brennan Beck's rich vocals.
We are excited to call them neighbors!
Through this exciting grant partnership with Historic West End, we have many upcoming collaborative and educational opportunities! You are now able to find all events posted on the calendar at keyinclt.org
Here are some highlights of classes!

Some GOOD NEWS in the Community from Dish!
📢ANNOUNCEMENT 📢 with the unfortunate closing of Sammy’s on Pecan due to the redevelopment of that corner we at Dish felt it was necessary to open up our doors for some breakfast hours. It’s important that our community keep some of the nostalgia of Sammy’s, like the hash browns, and their staff! Christina will be taking orders and Egly will be cooking🙌 Come say hi, Monday thru Friday 7am-10:30am starting December 7th,
Corridors of Opportunity
Recently, the City of Charlotte has launched several initiatives around a $24 Million investment in our Corridors of Opportunity intended to promote economic development and job creation for residents living in certain areas. As part of this work, we are launching a survey to better understand employment barriers people encounter when searching for a job. Though the survey is open to all Charlotteans, we will initially be focusing on responses that we get from residents who live on or near the business corridor geographies.
The survey is open through December 11th and can be accessed through this link: https://publicinput.com/R1664
The City of Charlotte needs your help to make this survey a success. Please share this survey within your networks and job seekers. Their responses will be critical to understand the workforce we serve and develop community-wide workforce strategies. We will also promote the survey on our social media channels and ask you to please share on your social media when applicable.
Saying Goodbye Again.
Two more great neighbors are closing their doors.
Novas Bakery will be closing their doors on December 13th - we know that this was a tough decision for them. Please stop in to get your bread, pastry and latte fix.
ALSO plan to visit Yama Izakaya before December 15th - they will be closing their location permanently at that time. Good News! They are planning to relocate and will be sharing that information via social media when it's time.
