I'm no longer a professional photographer, but I still love to share my photography this way. I'm now living in Osaka, Japan. Below are a few local pictures.
Therese Allen, at the age of thirteen, was on track to become a professional ballet dancer, having taken classes at Boston Ballet School, when she was struck by an MBTA trolley train on Commonwealth Ave. The resulting brain injury ended her ballet career. Now, after a quarter century, she has turned a hobby into a business. Receiving a quality digital camera as a Christmas gift, she began to roam the countryside/cityside around Brookline. Her first attempt at a calendar showed that her artistic gifting in dance was communicated in her choice of photos. Therefore it truly is PHOTO ART. She named her Company IndianfirebirdARTs.
Her family tree goes back a few generations to the Mi ' kmaq Indians in Canada. Her love of the ballet The Firebird, with music by Igor Stravinsky, prompted this company name. When she was a young child, her parents gave her the nickname Therese Bird.
Unlike most scenic calendars with famous landmarks, Therese's photographer's eye captures local scenes with a unique perspective.
...294 steps of this, The Bunker Hill Monument, in Boston, Massachusetts. It was easy compared to a single ballet class!
