Christopher Meloni

Christopher Meloni was born on April 12, 1961 in Washington DC. His mom was a stay a stay at home mom, and his dad was an edocrinoiogist. He has one brother Robert Meloni Jr. and one sister Michele Meloni

Christopher growing up did some bad things and got into some trouble like steal & vandalism, but when he got into High School he started playing football .
Once Meloni finished High School he attended University of Colorado in Boulder. He majored in history, and also attended a few drama classes. He completed him degree in 1983.

After college Meloni moved to NYC in the late 1905, he then appeared in 2 short live series: the football comedy 1st and 10 and The Fanelli boys. the Fanelli boys is what really set his career off.

Christopher Meloni got married to production designer Sherman Williams in 1995. The then had 2 kids, Sophia Meloni born March 23, 2001 and Dante Meloni born Jan 2, 2004.

In 1999, Christopher got a chance with Law & Order: Special Victims Units. Mariska Hargiray (who played Olivia Benson) and him ( who played Elliot Stabler) played a pair of detectives who investigate sexually related crimes.

In 2006, Meloni received an Emmy Award nomination for him work on the series of Law & Order SUV. For the next few years he would continue his journey with Law & Order with his new partner Mariska. Which made them very close friends.

In 2011 Christopher announced he was leaving Law & Order SUV: at the end of season 12.Christopher Meloni remains very proud of his role on Law & Order: SVU as Detective Elliot Stabler, but he disagrees with the show's diehard fans on one fundamental thing: Stabler and Mariska Hargitay's Olivia Benson definitely did not belong together, he says.

More recently he moved forward as a write/ producer/ director/ star of comedy film dirty movie. Even though he doesn't star on Law & Order he still finds the time to meet with hm partner Mariska Hargitay.
