Last year, SOMArts provided a platform for over 1,200 artists to incubate and share their work with over 40,000 community members.
"SOMArts is one of the places I have found home and artistic family." —Elizabeth "Oscar" Maynard
At SOMArts, we rely on the generosity of community members like you who help us keep politically-engaged and experimental art accessible to diverse Bay Area communities. In return, we thank our donors with unique experiences to meet and learn more about the work and artists you’re supporting when you give to SOMArts.
A Cultural Center for the 21st Century.
- SOMArts partners with diverse cultural communities to present deeply moving events and exhibitions that address the Bay Area's most pressing social concerns.
Artist Centered.
- Over 1,200 Bay Area artists presented work at SOMArts in the 2016–2017 season.
- SOMArts supports artists with over $30,000 in commissions and artist fees each year.
Radically accessible.
