Virtual Learning in the Troy School District

The first day of school is going to look different this year. Please be sure to go through all of the resources included in this edition of the Baker Blast. It includes directions and video tutorials to assist you. Every student should log into Schoology using their STUDENT ACCOUNT. This is where they will find everything they need for each of their classes every day, including the zoom links to join their live class sessions.

Your students already have a Schoology Account created for them, even if they have never used it before. Please reference the First Week of School Calendar below to see which classes to attend on each day. Also, be sure to practice logging in before September 1st. If you have trouble setting up your Schoology account or need assistance related to Schoology, please email schoology@troy.k12.mi.us.

First Week of School

Please note that on A - Days students attend Hours 1 - 3 and on B- Days students attend hours 4 - 6.

Virtual Learning Time Schedule

6th Grade Schedules and Electives

Understanding Your Child's Schedule

6th grade elective classes are only 45 minutes each and they run back to back during 1st, 2nd, 4th, or 5th hour. There is a letter A and B next to the section number of your student’s elective classes on their schedule. These indicate the order of the classes they attend during the hour. (A) classes run first and (B) classes run second.

Schoology Parent Training Sessions

The Troy School District uses Schoology (pronounced: Skool’uh-jee), an award-winning Learning Management System that offers course management, mobile learning, and a communications hub, all in one integrated platform.

In order to help you learn about Schoology and how you can help your child, we have developed a series of optional Parent Training Sessions. You do not have to attend any of these, but it’s a great way to familiarize yourself with this system and ask any questions you might have.
