Greek Numeration by Josephine, aida and margot

In ancient Greece, two systems of calculations were created: the ionic systeme (alphabetical system) and the attic system ( acrophonic system). The Ionidc system is also called the Ionian numerals, Milesian numerals, or Alexandrian numerals.
THE ATTIC SYSTEM: The attic system (from 450 BC). This system has a strange resemblance to the roman system. the attic system consists of nine symbles. Six of these symbles can be seen in the backround. This numeration was progressively replaced by the ionic numeration.
