YMP Scholarship 2019 In 2019, YMP Toronto is proud to partner with IAMGOLD Corp, Orefinders Resources Inc., Yamana Gold, Anaconda Mining, The Northern Miner, Agnico Eagle Mines Limited, and Barrick Gold Corporation to fund a series of $1,000 - $10,000 scholarships totalling $44,000 for Canadian University students enrolled in the 2019 academic year pursuing a career in mining.

THE BarriCk PETER MUNK SCHOLARSHIP

Open to all applicants – One $10,000 scholarship funded by Barrick Gold will be provided to a student who embodies Peter Munk’s entrepreneurial spirit. The recipient will also be eligible to interview for an internship with Barrick.

The Agnico Eagle Perseverance/Kajussissimainarniq Scholarship

Open to Nunavut Inuit applicants – One $10,000 scholarship funded by Agnico Eagle will be provided to a Nunavut Inuit student pursuing a career in mining. The recipient will also be eligible to interview for an internship with Agnico.

The Northern Miner Future of Mining Scholarship

Open to all applicants – One $5,000 scholarship funded by the Northern Miner will be provided to an individual with a vision for the future. Further, the best submitted essay will have an opportunity to be published in an issue of The Northern Miner.

The IAMGOLD Woman in Mining Scholarship

Open to applicants who are women – One $4,000 and one $1,000 scholarship funded by IAMGOLD will be provided to two exceptional women enrolled in mining-related programs.

The Yamana Student in Mining Scholarship

Open to all applicants – One $4,000 and one $1,000 scholarship funded by Yamana will be provided to two extraordinary aspiring industry professionals enrolled in mining-related programs.

The Anaconda Atlantic Canadian Student in Mining Scholarship

Open to Atlantic Canadian applicants – One $4,000 and one $1,000 scholarship funded by Anaconda will be provided to two remarkable students originating from or attending post-secondary school in Atlantic Canada.

The Orefinders Innovation in Mining Scholarship

Open to all applicants – One $4,000 scholarship funded by Orefinders will be provided to a tech-savvy student of mining.
