No more parties in L.A. My Experience at kanye west's saint pablo tour

The "Fabulous" Forum in Inglewood, California has been home to many historic performances from a bevy of legendary artists. From Led Zeppelin, to Paul McCartney, to Prince.

It has now added another name to that list - Kanye West. Though, West's performance on the night of Nov. 3, 2016 might go down as historic for the wrong reasons.

West, who was originally supposed to do only five shows at The Forum, added a sixth show to his Saint Pablo Tour. A tour dedicated to celebrating his seventh studio album titled "The Life of Pablo."

However, on this night, West shocked everyone when he decided to cut his set short by about 45 minutes, leaving fans with a mixed bag of emotions. Mostly negative.

West was in the middle of performing "Only One" when he suddenly stopped the show. "Stop, stop... I got no fuckin' voice, I can't do the fuckin' show," West said. He signaled for the lights to be turned on and his moving stage to be moved back to where it initially began. "I can't let y'all have a show where I can't perform. I'm very sorry, I love you, I promise to do better next time... We’ll refund the money on everyone,” he said. West's performance was his seventh in nine nights. Video of the incident can be seen here.

As the lights turned on, a confused chatter took over The Forum. People chanted, "KANYE! KANYE! KANYE!," in hopes that he would come back out. However, those hopes were dashed.

I reached out to Ticketmaster to see if it would be possible to refund money for a show which was more than half way completed. A company representative said that West had no authority to promise any refunds however, they would look into the matter and give fans an update within a few days. After three days, refunds were indeed issued.

Although many were disappointed by West's decision to cancel the show, the unwavering devotion that was displayed by his fans afterward was unexpected. Many people said, while they were upset, they would continue to support the artist. Fans flooded the merchandise stands by the hundreds on their way out of the venue to purchase the highly sought after, and very expensive, "Yeezy" concert merchandise.

"I STILL LOVE HIM AND ALL, BUT LIKE WHAT THE F*CK WHY DID HE DO THAT?"

Kanye West is one of the most polarizing figures in entertainment today. While his attitude and actions are questionable at times, his talent is undeniable. He has put out a number of hit songs and his performances are always memorable. He is certainly one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all-time. West also boasts one of the most loyal fanbases in all of hip-hop. With that said, he needs to treat them like it. Cancelling a show midway due to hoarseness is not a good enough excuse. West owes a full performance to those who continuously spend their hard-earned money to support him.
