SPANISH TOUR: DAY 8 Toledo, Spain

HISTORIC TOLEDO

by Meaghan O'Hara

We left the hotel early this morning for Toledo. It was about an hour bus ride, but definitely worth the trip!

We first had a panoramic tour of the city. The bus dropped us off at a rest stop on the top of a hill with a gorgeous view of the entire city.

We then drove back down and had a walking tour where we learned a lot about the interesting history of Toledo. We saw the Cathedral of Toledo which used to be a mosque but was constructed into a Roman Catholic Cathedral when Christianity became more prevalent in the city.

We had time to explore on our own after the tours and people were able to buy some nice souvenirs. Miranda and I bought large swords that were made in Toledo.

When we got back to Madrid we had some free time and went to lunch on our own. For dinner we all went to a nice Italian restaurant with food and dessert that everyone enjoyed.

After dinner we went to Pub El Burladero and learned a little bit about flamenco dancing. Taylor quickly became the locals’ favorite!
