Background

Everyone can relate to how amazing it is to travel and explore the world. There is nothing more satisfying than traveling to a new country and learning and emerging oneself to their culture and different customs. That is exactly what happened when I decided to study at the University of Louisville. My full name is Jorge Sebastian Inchauste but I go by Sebastian and I come from one of the most exotic places in the world. This exotic place has been given multiple names, some people call it “The Heart of South America”, I call it home, but to most people it is called Bolivia. I was born and raised in La Paz the capital and after I graduated high school I had the opportunity to come to the University of Louisville in order to further my education. After much deliberation, I decided that my major was going to be communication with a minor in marketing. I have always been fascinated by the ad industry and in a time where social media has flourished, I would be delighted to work on managing the social media accounts of big corporation focusing on their advertising and public relations.

La Paz, Bolivia
Critical Thinker

Growing up in a place like Bolivia that is so far away from the United States grants you with a different perspective on how the world revolves. This has allowed me to think differently and have innovative ideas. Being from South America I am perfectly fluent in both English and Spanish which has helped me communicate with people all around the world from Argentina to Spain. With my rare background and my creative thinking skills I can bring to the table an entire unique perspective that embraces concepts at a larger international scale instead of providing just a local perspective.

Drive

Drive is one of the most important personal qualities because I think it highlights a person’s entire character. I have always considered myself a person that is always striving to stay focused and driven and at the same time knowledgeable. My grandfather always told me that your brain is a muscle and if you do not exercise it with active thinking and constantly learning, it withers away just like any other muscle group making you lazy and ignorant. This is why it is so important to stay driven and motivated because we never stop learning and we have to keep that crucial mindset after graduation and carry it on to the workplace so that we can have a positive impact in the work environment.
