Life in the 1930's Garrett Passmore

Times were rough in cities, especially factories

Many business closed down and were affected more than farmers even

Tough time for farmers

Many went bankrupt and lost their farms

Lots of racism towards African Americans at this time

Water fountains, bathrooms, restaurants and other things were labeled as white and colored

Many families worked all the time, would play board games when free

Women would hang in gardens for leisure time, kids would try and play games with each other

Middle aged people most tried hanging with their friends
