A republican government is one in which the political authority comes from the people. In the United States, power is given to the government by its citizens as written in the U.S. Constitution and through its elected representatives.

A democratic government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system.

A monarchy system of government in which one person reigns, usually a king or queen. The authority, or crown, in a monarchy is generally inherited

Authoritarian is a system of government in which the state plans and controls the economy and a single often authoritarian party holds power state controls are imposed with the elimination of private.

Communism is a form of government in which state authority is imposed onto many aspects of citizens' lives.
