SUMMER

Temperatures in Slovenia go up to 30C in July and August, although in the north west temperatures are generally cooler by 5 or 10C, perfect for hiking and walking.

AUTUMN

Autumn is also a brilliant time to visit. From September, the temperature drops down to 20C and the waters are still warm enough for a relaxing swim. Automn brings magnificent colours and the weather is still good for hiking and walking. However some more rain is expected in these months.

WINTER

The weather is really cold in most of the country and only a bit warmer on the coast. The winds can be strong and snow can fall at any time. However, if you are fond of skiing this is the season when you should go.

SPRING

The weather is quite unpredictable.Some days remain cold, some clear and sunny, some days wet and miserable, some days windy, some days still. Snow melts and the water runs into the rivers and waterfalls.

TOP ATTRACTIONS IN SLOVENIA

Lake Bled: 45 minutes from Ljubljana is the most famous lake in Slovenia and possibly one of the most beautiful in Europe. Lake Bled has deep blue water, mountains in the background, an island with a church in the middle of the lake, and a castle on top of a cliff steep. Going paddling to the central island of Bled is a very usual activity among visitors to Bled. For the lazy, there is also the option of hopping on a traditional boat to take us. Currently it costs about € 12.

Liubliana is the capital of slovenia
Ljubljana: Ljubljana is knowN because of the triple bridge it has in the center of the town. It is amazing and after visiting ljubljana you can have a bit to eat at a saling boat in the river.
The 1.6 km long Vintgar gorge is one of the pretiest things on Slovenia. The name Vintgar Gorge is redundant: Vintgar in Slovenian means throat and gorge in English means throat.. Vitgar Gorge means throat throat.
Lake Bohin is as beautiful as Lake Bled. A cable car pulls you up to the snow-covered top of Mount Voge.
POSTOJNA CAVES

Postojna Caves. The tour of the cave takes an hour and a half. You'll be taken through different caves where you'll be able to see unique formations like stalagmites, stalactites, columns, needles...

A half-hour walk from Kobarid will bring you to one of the nicest waterfalls in Slovenia The ambient approaching the waterfall is spectacular -increasingly narrow walls, stunning rocky amphiteather and the cute waterfall with its beautiful pool

If you are looking for an amazing experience, you can book a descent to the waterfall from a crack that is right above with harnesses and a guide teacher

SKOCJAN CAVES

The Škocjan Caves are the main natural location in Slovenia and the Classical Karst region is on UNESCO’s list of world heritage sites. They are among the most important caves in the world.

TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK

The Triglav National Park is the only national park in Slovenia. It is named after Mount Triglav, a national symbol of Slovenia. The Triglav, the highest mountain in the country with 2864 m, is almost in the middle of the national park.

Predjama¡'s Castle is situated in the middle of a towering cliff, around 9 km from Postojna Cave.It is listed among the Guinness World Records as the largest cave castle in the world.

Slovenia is a land of potato dishes, among which roast potatoes are the most loved. They also like wine.

Anze kopitar is a hockey player who helped Los Angeles Kings win Stanley Cup Championships in 2012 . He won the 2016 Selke Trophy as the NHL's best player.

Aljaz Skorjanec was a Slovenian dancer who became famous after winning the reality dance competition Strictly Come Dancing.

Jan Oblak Slovenian goalkeeper who won Primeira Liga, Taca de Portugal and Taca da Liga titles with Benfica in 2014. He was named Primeira Liga's Best Goalkeeper of that season before being transferred to Atletico Madrid

Goran Dragic began playing professional basketball in Europe at the age of 17 for Ilirija Ljubljana in Slovenia
