Temperatures in Slovenia go up to 30C in July and August, although in the north west temperatures are generally cooler by 5 or 10C, perfect for hiking and walking.
Autumn is also a brilliant time to visit. From September, the temperature drops down to 20C and the waters are still warm enough for a relaxing swim. Automn brings magnificent colours and the weather is still good for hiking and walking. However some more rain is expected in these months.
The weather is really cold in most of the country and only a bit warmer on the coast. The winds can be strong and snow can fall at any time. However, if you are fond of skiing this is the season when you should go.
The weather is quite unpredictable. Some days remain cold, some clear and sunny, some days wet and miserable, some days windy, some days still. Snow melts and the water runs into the rivers and waterfalls.
