Mrs. Baez First Grade

July 8, 2019

Dear Future Students –

Welcome to First Grade at Bay Vista! My name is Mrs. Baez and I am thrilled that you are in my class next year! We will have so many exciting activities and learning experiences throughout the year. I look forward to helping you grow as a student!

I hope you are having a fabulous summer, full of fun times and awesome adventures! Please take a lot of pictures that you can share with our class or use to write stories throughout the year. One of the most important things you can do this summer is read! Books help you go places in your mind that are far away and different from home. One of my favorite books is “Let’s Go, Hugo” by Angela Dominguez. It is a wonderful book about two friends and their adventures in Paris, France. It’s a magical story! I want you to find your favorite book and bring it with you on the first day of school. We will celebrate one student each day as a way to get to know each other, and share their book with our class. Don’t forget to write your name on the inside cover!

I’m excited to meet all of you at Meet the Teacher on Monday, August 12th from 9:30-10:00 AM. Enjoy your summer and don’t forget to read and write stories each day!

Love, Mrs. Baez
