PowerSchool Grade Glitches

We understand our PowerSchool reports are showing blank grades. We apologize for the resulting inconvenience and confusion.

In an effort to remedy these glitches quickly and comprehensively, CCS hired a PowerSchool Consultant to help us resolve these issues soon. In the meantime, you can check your students' grades by accessing the PowerSchool Parent Portal.

Meet the New President

Our CEO, Dr. Antoinette Rath, was recently elected as President of the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools (PCPCS)! Dr. Rath now partners with other charter school leaders, who are charged with ensuring the long-term success of the charter school movement in Pennsylvania.

Dr. Rath joined Collegium in September 2015, after serving for 13 years as Superintendent of the Mount Laurel School District in New Jersey. In 2014, Dr. Rath was honored as Burlington County Woman of the Year In Education.

Congratulations, Dr. Rath! We are so proud of you!

Collegium Cares

Unfortunate circumstances such as losing a job or a lapse in health insurance, can be devastating for any family. If your family is experiencing difficulties like these, don't lose hope! Simply pick up the phone and dial 2-1-1.

United Way supports 2-1-1, a free and confidential service that helps people across North America find the local resources they need 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

A toll-free call to 2-1-1 connects you to a community resource specialist in your area who can put you in touch with local organizations that provide critical services that can improve, and save, lives. You’ll find information addressing:

  • supplemental food and nutrition programs
  • shelter and housing options and utilities assistance
  • emergency information and disaster relief
  • employment and education opportunities
  • services for veterans
  • health care, vaccination and health epidemic information
  • addiction prevention and rehabilitation programs
  • reentry help for ex-offenders
  • support groups for individuals with mental illnesses or special needs
  • a safe, confidential path out of physical and/or emotional domestic abuse

Whether in times of personal crisis or natural disaster, 2-1-1 is committed to being the first, most essential resource for anyone who needs help. Call 2-1-1 and speak with a live, highly trained service professional in your area from any cell phone or landline. All calls are private and confidential.

CCS Employee Spotlight

This Newsletter section highlights one Collegium employee each week and allows families and students to get to know them even more. Now, when you see featured employees on campus, you'll have a better chance of being able to greet them by name and strike up conversations!

Campus Parking Reminder

If you are entering our buildings (to deliver an item for your child, to speak with one of our Receptionists, etc.), please park in a designated parking space. Parking in Fire Lanes and Bus Lanes is prohibited.

Volunteer Opportunity

The Science Fair Committee is looking for parent volunteers to join the committee and help make our 17th Annual Science Fair a tremendous success for our students.

Join the Science Fair Committee at their meeting Wednesday, September 28th, 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm in the Conference Room of our 435 Building (435 Creamery Way, Suite 300). Ready to attend? Questions about the Science Fair Committee? Just contact Mrs. Tobin for more details.

Cougar Gear Update

Families who purchased Adult Unisex Cougar Gear T-shirts received an incorrect T-shirt color (light grey shirt with light blue ink) instead of the correct shirt (dark grey shirt with light blue ink).

Collegium is happy to share that BonfireFunds, the company we use to sell Cougar Gear T-shirts, is already reprinting and reshipping the Cougar Gear T-shirt with the correct T-shirt color. The new shirts should be delivered in approximately 14 business days.

It does not appear as though other styles were affected, but if any family has questions or concerns regarding their Cougar Gear order, BonfireFunds Support is ready to help.

From the CCS Home and School Association (HSA)

Serving in a capacity similar to a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) or Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), our HSA owes its success to the efforts of our many parent, teacher, and staff volunteers!

PAWsitive Praise

A big shout-out to all of the families that attended our first HSA meeting last Wednesday night! We thank all families in attendance for their energy, feedback, and ideas! We can’t wait to see even more families at our next meeting — Wednesday, October 19th at 6:30pm.

Cougar Challenge

What's the Cougar Challenge? It's our walk/exercise-a-thon to raise money for the HSA and the student event is this Friday, September 30th!

The HSA provides financial support to Collegium by sponsoring student-oriented projects, hosting special events for families, providing additional funds for classroom materials, and offering scholarships for uniforms and field trips.

Watch the video below to hear Mr. McCain, Director of Athletics and Extra-Curricular Programs, explain even more about the Cougar Challenge.

Last year, our families raised over $26,000 during the Cougar Challenge and we want to exceed that amount. If each CCS family obtains just $100 in donations, we will far exceed our goal. Additional information is provided below.

*NEW* for this year - we now accept credit card donations via TicketLeap and the kindness/generosity of a TicketLeap representative, (who just so happens to be a Collegium parent). If credit card purchases are preferable for your family and friends, use the link below and disregard references to "Tickets" when selecting your donation amounts.

HSA Facebook Page

The HSA is officially on Facebook! Everything you need to know about the HSA is in one place, including information about each of our committees, upcoming events and fundraisers, and even volunteer opportunities.

Also, during our HSA meeting last Wednesday night, winners of the Back to School Night Movie Baskets were announced! Make sure you visit the HSA Facebook page to see if your name was selected!
