Welcome to a long overdue edition (and the first digital) Eastside Cruisers Club Newsletter!
What a great turn out to celebrate the club's "Sweet 16"!
On Saturday August 18, Ferntree Gully Bowls Club hosted our annual birthday party. It was fantastic to see so many faces attend, both new and old.
Plenty of drinks were enjoyed and some award presentations were made. Congratulations to Brendan Irvine on his 10 Year Milestone with the club and Dan Cobb on the High Mileage awards for the most club meets/events attended!
Freaky Friday Scavenger Hunt - Friday Night Cruise
There is no other way to describe this event except... ridiculous fun! On a chilly 'Friday the 13th' of July we attended a scavenger hunt cruise. The night started at Autobarn Bayswater at which point everyone was given a long list of different items in the local suburbs to go and take photos of, some of them simple and some far more difficult!
Yozzy Kebabs - Friday Night Cruise
What better way to finish off the week then by heading to your local kebab dealer on a chilly Friday night. On August 4rd, Paul led the showing the all the delights that surround Dandenong and the local area has to offer! It was a great turnout with some cars not sighted so often which was fantastic to see. Great cruise, great company, great kebabs!
Flame Tree Burger Bar - Friday Night Cruise
So apparently some people in the club like a good burger.. Who would have thought?! September 7th marked our first 'Spring' cruise. While the lighting was still dark and the weather still cold, a bunch of brave adventurers brought their faithful sleds out for a cruise to Flame Tree Burger Bar in Ferntree Gully. We went 'the back way' up Mount Dandenong Tourist Road and arrived at at poorly lit and dirty carpark... My bad everyone!
The Cardinia Rservoir Cruise had a great turnout with a variety of tuff and clean cars. It was a great choice of cruise route we went on and it was a really good drive to the dam. Paul put on an awesome BBQ to top it off! It was great to catch up with everyone. Thanks again Paul for towing the trailer too!
