Selfies are something that comes second nature to most of us now because after a few snaps its easy to understand what works and doesn't. Its a lot harder to do the same thing when you cant see exactly what you look like at that instant. But don't worry we have you covered, we spend our days practicing our craft and learning new techniques to make our customers feel as though we aren't there. The engagement session is like any other date with your significant other. We just want to make you ooh and gush as you look back on it.
For women we suggest:
- Put more weight on one foot. Angle one knee slight and turn it over your other leg. Make your hip turn in the opposite direction as your knee. Practice this in front of your fiance and you'll know when you've done it right because hell definitely smile. Take another look in the mirror when you do and you'll love what you see.
For men we suggest:
For men the same rules apply, place more weight on one foot. Angle your knee slightly and instead of putting it in front of your other leg just maintain a strong stance throughout your lower body.
MOVE DONT POSE
Most of all we are photographing a connection and we want that to always be apparent. To do this we ask our couples to treat engagement sessions like you would a normal date. Look into each others eyes, hug, kiss and remember what this is all about. A bond that cant be broken and one you want to share with the whole world. Marriage is a covenant we have with God and each other, how else can we keep it strong with out showing and expressing that love to each other. We want to see that and we would rather you guys interact with each other than worry about how the camera sees you.
... remember what this is all about. A bond that cannot be broken and one you want to share with the whole world...
