Beauty standards through the decades and how it's changed.


HAIR: short, curled to the face. MAKEUP: glamorous, bright. FASHION: beads, glamorous, tight, dresses.


HAIR: short curled. MAKEUP: modest and little. FASHION: modest, sort of bland. (( great depresssion era ))


HAIR: the most popular hairstyle among women was curled hair and the front hair curled up in to a sort of 'horn' style. MAKEUP: pink, light. FASHION: businessy, skirts, jackets, white gloves, hats.


Everything similar to 1940's


HAIR: willowy, natural, bumps. MAKEUP: bright, long eyelashes. FASHION: colorful, bright, gogo boots and headbands.


HAIR: natural hair but curled out. MAKEUP: brown and white, natural-ish. FASHION: jump suits, bandannas, purses, colors sunglasses.


HAIR: BIG, hairspray, teased, high side ponytails, big down styles. MAKEUP: bright colors, lots of mascara, bright lipstick. FASHION: mismatch colors, textures, bright.


Goth was very in style. Chokers and tight tank tops were all worn on a large scale. Straightened hair with berets and braids were also in style.
