Imperialism-a policy of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force. A forceful way of a bigger, stronger establishment taking control over a smaller, weaker establishment. Imperialism is how countries have taken over each other for many years, the countries with a stronger and larger military attack countries that have little, weak armies in hope to conquer them and expand their territories.

Hawaii gets conquered by the United States in 1893

After years of the Hawaiian kingdom breaking down and being fought by Americans, they lost control and became the 50th state of the USA in 1959. 300 marines soon got called to Hawaii to protect their new American's lives.

Over 3 centuries the Spanish Empire expanded across a large majority of the world

Christopher Columbus arrived in 1492 and over three centuries he helped the Spanish Empire conquer across the Caribbean Islands, 1/2 of South America, and most of Central American and North America. During the Colonel Period about 18.6 Spaniards settled in the Americas. The Spanish soon lost the Philippians and Guam which ended the Spanish rule in the Americas.

The United States settles in Puerto Rico in 1898

Puerto Rico was originally a Spanish Colony that was discovered by Christopher Columbus and his Spanish military in 1493. Puerto Rico has been fought over and invaded many times.

Great Britain take rule over India between 1858 and 1947

Great Britain takes over India between 1858 and 1947, this was called the Crown Rule in India, or the Direct Rule in India. The British has conquered many different places like India, Scotland, Canada, US, and South America. Their ruling has continued to take over many places throughout the world.
