Origin and Info

Christianity originated in Israel after the death of Jesus around 33 A.D. but Christian beliefs date back thousands of years before Christ. Christianity is the most practiced religion in the whole world. Christians believe there is only one god and base their beliefs on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Christians believe that complete faith in Jesus can result in eternal life. The first Christians were Jews.

Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy and Protestantism are a few sects of Christianity. A couple of popular Christian holidays are Christmas and Easter.
