Teachers no longer hold a monopoly on knowledge. Rote learning and memorisation is now seen as very much 20th Century. Students have YouTube and flexibility to choose their learning. The average attention span is only 8 seconds. They can switch between topics and activities quite easily and think non-linearly. They may be the first generation to live for 150 years. Focus on the 4 C's are the skills that humans can excel at over computers - Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, Creativity. If we embrace technology imagine being able to have your students stand on the top of a volcano as it explodes, or virtually shrinking your class so they fit into the heart and can explore that system.

That is the future.
