Elite Sport Programme 2019/2020

The Elite Sport Programme at Abertay supports elite level student athletes, coaches and match officials combine their studies alongside their sporting commitments. Taking part in elite sport takes dedication, a will to win and resilience - the programme aims to help the athletes make the most of their time at Abertay alongside continuing to develop in their sport. Details of the programme can be found here. Athletes in the programme benefit from free gym memberships, free training kit, a bursary & tailored support specific to the needs of the student.

Callum Garden

  • Capped for Scotland at:under 15's, 17's, and 19's, Development team, Performance Academy and A team.
  • For my club side, we have just finished a really successful season winning the league for the first time ever and going on to win the treble.
  • At the under 15's European championship I won the top run scored in the competition and in the under 19 World Cup Qualifiers I got the most dismissals.


To become Scotland's best player and help them get test match status. I also hope to become a county cricketer.

Cameron Golden

Katie Stott

Esme McGregor

Bethany Craigie

  • Sport: Trampolining

  • Course: Sport & Exercise Sciences
  • Year: 2nd


  • Currently in the Women’s 19+ NDP Performance Level in Trampolining
  • Qualified for Scottish National Championships 2019
  • Selected to represent Scotland at the Trampoline and Tumbling Regional Team Finals in 2016 and 2017.


  • To move my piked Rudi out out of the pit and land it on the trampoline, regain my Half-in Half-outs and regain my piked double backs. This will allow me to build up my higher tariff routines for next year.
  • My goals for this season is to move up to Fig category (elite), successfully complete my routines with tariff of 10.8 at a competition, and qualify for Scottish National Championships again.

Aidan McQuade
