The soufrere hills volcano Is a volcano located in the Caribbean the nearest city is Plymouth, Montserrat a mile away population was 1,478 and a eruption in 1997 caused them to evacuate the city but is still the capital of Montserrat

The elevation of the volcano is 3000ft ,it is a strato volcano and it is cone shaped

the most destructive eupshion was in 1997 and spewing 10ft of ash and rock to the nestest city Plymouth and them having to evacuate the city this city is still covered in ash

the most resent irruption was in 2012

The newest irruption was in 2012 The dome of the volcano collapsed causing a pyroclastic flow and ash was shot 40,000 feet up in the air The lava from this volcano is a thicker lava
