1908- Converse Rubber cooperation opened for business

1917- First version of the basketball was produced

1921-Chuck H. Taylor (Basketball Player) joined the Converse les force

1920- Converse were made in all black canvas or leather

1930- Chuck Taylor designed the white high top model for the 1936 Olympics

1932- "Chuck Taylor" was added to the ankle patch due to his success in promoting All Stars sales

1949- The classic black and white high top was introduced

1957- The low cut All stars were introduced

1968- Chuck Taylor was inducted into the basketball hall of fame

1970's- Athletic shoes became so popular as foootwear that adults refused to give up wearing them

1980's-1990's- The Converse company began to experience hard times because the ownership and management changed so many times
