Willie Mays a baseball champion star

1931 - 1979

Childhood

Hey look! A ball!

William was a child once, too! He was listening to the radio as Joe DiMaggio, pro football player, has just made an amazing catch. And THAT inspired him to play baseball. He practiced the stance, the run and of course the hit.

Young Player

A Fellow Ball Player

Will was asked to play baseball 15, when he went to Fairfield High School, which would make you a pretty young baseball player. Because of everything he learned, he became a natural. He got the stance right, the run right, and of course the hit right. Like lots people do, he also got drafted to the military. 2 years later, he came back, and he STILL played! Yes!

The Catch

A Fellow Catcher

Will made an AMAZING catch! Watch this video to learn more about it!

¨Yes, I had to learn how to live life outside, but I had so many people help me.¨

-Willie Mays

This guy is inspirational and teaches you to accomplish your dreams. I think I just shed a tear.
