The Ark
Ark Encounter features a full-size Noah’s Ark, built according to the dimensions given in the Bible. Spanning 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high, this modern engineering marvel amazes visitors young and old. Ark Encounter is situated in the beautiful Williamstown, Kentucky, halfway between Cincinnati and Lexington on I-75. I'm going to the one in Kentucky which also leads to my next one.
Mammoth Cave
Mammoth Cave National Park preserves the cave system and a part of the Green River valley and hilly country of south central Kentucky. This is the world's longest known cave system, with more than 400 miles explored. Early guide Stephen Bishop called the cave a "grand, gloomy and peculiar place," but its vast chambers and complex labyrinths have earned its name - Mammoth.
Mount Rushmore
Mount Rushmore National Memorial is host to almost three million visitors a year from across the country and around the world. They come to marvel at the majestic beauty of the Black Hills of South Dakota and to learn about the birth, growth, development and the preservation of our country. Over the decades, Mount Rushmore has grown in fame as a symbol of America-a symbol of freedom and hope for people from all cultures and backgrounds.
Pike's Peak
Pikes Peak, located in the Rocky Mountains, is one of the most famous summits in the United States. The 14,115 ft fourteener—a mountain exceeding 14,000 ft above sea level—stands 8,000 ft high over what is known as the “Pikes Peak region.” This region includes many popular mountain towns at its base such as Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Cripple Creek, and Cañon City.
