Fans were surprised when Fancy Gadam emerged the best new act of the VGMA's 2017. Fancy Gadam is a household name in the northern part of Ghana, he's tagged as the first individual act to fill the stadium in the north.
This is obviously an enviable record every artist will yearn to reach. It therefore comes as a surprise that he had a single nomination in the awards thus Best New Artiste.
The question then arises as to how he was able to win the Best New Act category when a single song of his couldn't make it to any other category aside the one he won.
Thus to say that the effort of an artiste in a specific genre pushes him or her for Best New Act
Medikal had 7 nominations including Best New Act and over all Artiste of the year. This only implies that Medikal did extremely better than his contenders in Best New Act to guarantee him a place in Artiste of The Year
It is therefore surprising for him to lose the New Act award to Fancy Gadam. The nominations speak for itself and makes this particular one fishy
