Katarra is art in one of it's most expressive form: Music. As a singer/song-writer, musician, and much more, Katarra shows you how music can help us all to escape, and also confront, the realities of this world. From composing to arranging, to cascading the keys of a piano, Katarra creates a world for escapists and realists, from hopeless romantic soul lovers to jazz loving hip-hop heads. A musical idealist, her creations go into the ups and downs of love, passion, living, and a need to bring self-awareness and change in the world.

Katarra takes Jazz, Soul, and R&B, with a huge Hip-Hop influence, as her own, with the scats of Ella Fitzgerald, and the sultriness of Sarah Vaughan, Katarra merges classic jazz with the soul and rhymes of Lauryn Hill and the keys of Stevie Wonder...all within her own universe of black girl magic. Let her music be your guide to another galaxy...

Katarra's love of the arts is displayed through her creative endeavors and voluntary actions. As newly signed Farfetched artist, Katarra works with figure heads such as Damon Davis in creating music for her community, as well as for social justice movements (Dream Defenders, C2, Black Workers Center).

And as a musician of 'Lyrical Therapy' and member of the artist collective 'The Therapeutics', Katarra helps use music as a platform for voices within the community that are rarely heard. As Lyrical Therapy was where she overcame years of anxiety, and blossomed as an artist, one of Katarra's pursuits include collaborating and creating with other young artists. This includes, 'The Owen Ragland Quintet' and 'The SolFolkz', as well as many collaborations with many other Saint Louis artists.
