Formal family photos are going to be some of the most precious and important memories from your day, even though the act of taking them can be a little daunting. We ask that you create a list of each and every photo combination you’d like, by first name, and send us that list so we can verify we get all the photos taken and in a timely matter. We created a sample list for you to work from, to make things as easy as possible. Please send this when completed.
Formal family photos - location
Traditionally, people have their family photos done at the ceremony location: if it’s at a church, it’s likely done on the altar. while this is not a bad option at all, we always love when our couples opt to go outdoors for these photos, making them less overly formal and more of a family keepsake. this generally is easiest on church grounds like steps to the church, etc. we know sometimes weather is an issue, as is spacing for large families, so if you’re unsure about this you can always feel free to ask for some guidance!
