Deters Dairy LLC John deere 9620rx vs Case ih steiger quadtrac

In the past we had a John Deere 9520 four wheel drive tractor. In order to make sure we get field work done faster we got a new plow. As it turns out the new plow we purchased is a little to large for the old tractor. We are now selling the old one are are looking at either a John Deere 9620RX or a Case IH 600 quadtrac.

The John Deere 9620RX comes stock with a 620 HP cummins engine. Its hitch capacity is approximately 20,000 lbs, and its drawbar capacity is 12,000 lbs. Has an 18 speed PowerShift transmission that allows it to go about 25mph. Has high flow hydraulics that pushes out about 435 L/pm. A fully independent 1000- hp start-up PTO system is available is a factory or in field installed option. Comes with a 270 gallon fuel tank.
The CaseIH Steiger 620 quadtrac has a peak hp of 682 hp and a 16 speed powershift Steiger transmission. Pushes about 113 gallons of hydraulic fluid per minute and has about 20,000 pounds of hitch-lift capacity. It also has a 1000 rpm PTO speed. Has a fuel consumption rate of about 17 hours per gallon and has a fuel capacity of 470 gallons.
Over all both tractors are worthy competitors as they both have a sufficient amount of horsepower and pulling capacity.

It is generally more expensive to fix a John Deere but it is less likely to break down than the Case IH quadtrac. They can have transmission problems as they might not be able to handle the amount of work that it takes to turn the tracks and such. John Deere has a selection of warranties that one can get for their tractor as does Case IH.

For the final decision I would choose the John Deere 9620RX as it is more durable than the Case IH and has a wider range of factory options that can be put on it before purchasing.
