THE WASS STAFF SAYS, "THANK YOU!"

On behalf of all of the staff at Wass, they would like to say thank you for showering them with food and goodies throughout the week. The lunch from Rio Wraps, popcorn bar, sweet treats, souper luncheon, and breakfast made the past five days a true joy. Thank you for taking care of your teachers and staff by showing your appreciation to them. The staff kicked off the week with a special tribute and performance from our fifth grade students.

M-STEP ASSESSMENT

The remaining M-STEP schedule for Wass students is listed below.

5TH GRADE BAND CONCERT

The 5th Grade Band Concert on Monday night was a hit. The students have really improved their instrumental skills over the course of the year. It was great to hear former Wass Wolves performing in the Larson Jazz Band and Athens Performance Band as well.

KINDERGARTNERS GO TO THE DETROIT ZOO

Our kindergartners had a wonderful day at the Detroit Zoo! They loved exploring animals in their habitats and observing their movements and structures! What a great day! The cost of this trip was defrayed by the Wass PTO. The PTO paid for $15 for each kindergartner's field trips this year. Another reason to contribute to the Running with the Wolves event. It all comes back to your kids!!!

4TH GRADE ELECTRICIANS

Fourth graders put their knowledge of electricity to a test by designing and creating an electrical board. Each fourth grader planned the project, carried it out and presented it at school during science. Through this project, students not only learned about electricity and how to close a circuit but also about time management, proper planning, working collaboratively, and project presentation. Wow! They have learned so much!

These students will have art on display at the Troy School District Art Show at the Troy Community Center from May 6-14. There will be an Opening Reception on Monday, May 8 from 5:30-6:30 PM for Kindergarten through 5th Grade students and families.
