END OF THE YEAR TIPS

If you are separating from the district, please be sure to complete the following prior to your last day of work:

  • Retirement/Resignation Form
  • Exit Interview
  • Submit ORS Retirement Confirmation
  • Return District Property (i.e. Keys, iPad, ID Badge, etc.)
  • Submit Change Form to update your mailing address, email address, or telephone number.
  • Remember to contact Teresa Foster, Insurance Coordinator, at 248-746-8547 to finalize your benefits.

Be On The Lookout! Summer School and 2018-19 School Year job posting notifications will be forwarded via email from now and into the 2018-19 school year. Bes Sure to check your email at least once a day for job postings and other district updates.

Congratulations to all of our collective bargaining groups for collaborating with the District and successfully ratifying new collective bargaining agreements!

Updated contract agreements and calendars will be available for viewing on the Human Resources’ page of the District’s website.

WORKER'S COMPENSATION

  • Be alert! Watch where you are going.
  • Check the conditions of the floors, stairs, ladders and work area - report any defects to your supervisor immediately.
  • Look for elevation changes (manholes, drains, uneven pavement).
  • Remove clutter and drop cords from walkways.
  • Place signs out when a floor area is slippery.
  • Clean up all spills when they happen - do not wait!
  • Keep drawers closed.
  • Use the hand railing when climbing up or down the stairs.
  • Walk - Do not run!

The end of the VSP Vision Plan benefit year is June 30, 2018. If you have not already done so, please take advantage of your yearly examination benefit before that time. You may contact VSP at (800) 877– 7195.

If you are anticipating changing your insurance plan or separating from the District in June please endeavor to get the maximum benefit from your current insurance plan before its cancellation at the end of June (use it, use it, use it).

To those who currently have an AMERIFLEX FSA Account for the 2017-18 benefit year, all money in your account must be used by August 31, 2018. Any unused funds greater than the $500 allowable rollover amount will be forfeited.
