Principal's Newsletter Patton Middle School - April 22, 2019

Dear Patton Families,

Our Spring Showcase and Celebration event is only 2 weeks away. The event will be held on Tuesday, May 7th starting at 7:00 PM and ending at 8:30 PM. We have arranged for several food trucks to be on site beginning at 6:00 PM for families and staff to purchase food before the event and during the event. Our teachers have put together a fantastic showcase of student work, student presentations, and curricular programs. Some of the exhibitions will be live presentations by our students, some will be digital recordings on student My Story digital portfolios. There will be numerous projects displayed, live performances, and numerous opportunities for parents to see the inner workings of our curricular programs. Every area of our school will be showcased and celebrated during our event on May 7. We began working on this event right after winter break, and we could not be more excited to open our doors and invite our awesome Patton families into our school. We are proud of what we do, and we want nothing more than to share it with all of you. Please mark your calendars and don’t miss this event.

Have a great week! GO HAWKS!

Steve Dissinger - Principal

Weekly News

The Patton Carnival is Friday, May 3 and it's the main source of funding for the PTO providing teacher grants, technology purchases, assemblies, and other educational enrichment for all middle school students. This is also a favorite event that students in the district look forward to all year long! Please help to make this a great event for our Patton family and the kids of the district by volunteering a few hours of your time. We REALLY need your help! Please enter your name in the slot(s) you'd like to volunteer for (volunteering for more than one slot really helps). Please be sure to check in at the "Volunteer Check In Booth" upon arrival to get your volunteer information and ID. Thank you! Use this SignUp Genius link to be a Carnival Volunteer! If you can't volunteer but can donate baked goods use this link to visit the Carnival Baked Goods SignUp Genius page.

NOTE: All volunteers need background check approvals. If you have not yet gotten your approvals, the links can be found here. It takes two full weeks to process and receive after filing. Thank you for supporting the PTO and our school!

The UHS Drama Guild presents "Almost, Maine" on April 25, 26 & 27 at 7:00 PM at the UHS Auditorium.
