Pathways to Employment tools for long-term, gainful employment

Eager job seekers attended the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) Pathways to Employment hiring event to explore and connect to viable career pathways for long-term and sustainable employment. The no-cost event kicked-off with career development workshops covering networking, job search, soft skills for keeping a job, career readiness programs, apprenticeships and résumé development.

A hiring event featuring local employers with a broad array of diverse job opportunities followed. Vocational schools, colleges and community service providers were also on-site to support job seekers as they embarked on their career pathway.

Shamrock Foods Company is recruiting for more than 65 jobs in the Maricopa County area.

Arizona Builders Alliance is looking for more than 100 job seekers to become Electrician Apprentices in the construction industry throughout the state.

A Caring Heart of Arizona is recruiting for 200-300 in-home caregivers for children and adults with disabilities throughout the state.

Novice workers are invited to preview the work through their free 40-hour “Gladiator Training Program.” Graduates of the Gladiator program will be referred to a contractor where they’ll begin working in their 3-year apprenticeship (apprenticeship program is paid).
