This was me. I was barely surviving postpartum anxiety and an autoimmune disharmony. I was taking decent care of my babies - but I wasn't taking care of me.
I wasn't taking care of me because two complicated pregnancies left me totally in shambles. I lost myself in taking care of this sweet little boy! And thought that I was ready for another miracle...
But I wasn't. This wild one shook up my world because of her special needs. I chose to stop working outside of our home. I felt so lost! I tried at least ten different ways to make an income so that I could stay home with her and our son. Nothing worked.
Until something worked! I had no idea how I could go back into the workforce after my super-flexible contract ended just months after she was born. I praise God that I didn't have to.
I found a way to spend time where I was needed. My autoimmune disease was taking over my life, and my sweet baby girl was wearing me out in ways I couldn't describe. Things became incredibly hard for us when at 18 months she stopped smiling.
I thought I was alone. I wasn't! I connected with so many other moms in a similar place. Autoimmune moms, postpartum moms, moms with special kids. At the end of 2014, I was running a business from my bed with two babies at home with me. Hundred of customers were getting incredible results. And my team of like hearts exploded!
Women and men and families were finding freedom: a date night; self care; medical bills paid off; replacing old vehicles; family vacations... mission trips! And we found freedom too...
Our freedom was to take care of my wellness needs and the needs of our precious wild one. Operation Keep Daddy Home meant that finally we could put our hearts and hands into what mattered most.
And I became stronger. After months of physical therapy and intensive work with doctors at one of the best hospitals in the country...
I understand my body, for the first time since childhood.
I could have never done that without him home!
This next chapter of our adventure is running and funding a mother-child ministry. And giving others the same freedom - to dream bigger! Whatever that looks like to you.
I'm here to say that anything is possible. And now it's time to create what is possible for you! You are made for more. You are made for impact. And I am 100% sure that we are better together. Change is a choice. Health and financial ease are options.
