  • Muscular Strength is defined as the ability of a mucle group to develop maximum contractive force against a resistance in a single contraction.
  • Muscular endurance is the ability of a mucle or group of mucles to sustain repeated contractions against a resistance for an extended period of time.
  • Cardio respiratory fitness is the ability of the body's circulatory and respiratory systems to supply fuel and oxygen during sustained physical activity.
  • Flexibility is the equality of bending easily without breaking.
  • Body composition is a special term used in physical fitness that measures the percentage of fat, mucle, water, and bone found in the human body.
Six sport related fitness components are,
  • Agility is the ability to change the body's position efficiently.
  • Balance is the ability to stay upright or stay in control of body movement.
  • Coordination is the ability to move two or more body parts under control, smoothy, and efficiently.
  • Speed is the ability to move quickly across the ground.
  • Power is the ability to exert maximum force as quickly as possible, as in jumping, acelerating and throwing.
  • Reaction time is the ability to respond quickly to a stimulus.
BODY MASS INDEX (BMI)
  • Body mass index is a measure of body fat based on your weight in realation to your height, and applies to most adult men and women aged 20 or over.
