Santiago Clubs Here are the clubs Santiago offers.

ASB/ ASB stands for Associated Student Body and it represents the interests and goals of the entire School Student Body. Currently there are two ASB Classes - One for middle school to develop leadership skills and a high school class that is part elected and part appointed. It is an elective that takes your 7th period class.

Academic Pentathlon/ An exciting five event competition for middle school students. The program prepares students for success in college and careers by building skills in communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and character. Meets every Thursday at lunch in room 100 with an optional meeting every Friday after school in room 100.

Anime Club/ Students meet every week and watch Japanese animation subtitles in English with the original Japanese audio. Meets every Tuesday at lunch in room 100.

Book Club/ Students will choose a book to read and then will discuss this book in book club. Meets every Friday at lunch in room 207.

Cheer/ In cheer, students learn all the fundamentalist of cheerleading : Cheers, dances, jumps, kicks, voice projection, and the basic stunts. Girls/ Boys showcase their skills at games, assemblies, and other events in orange. Meets Monday, Wednesday and Thursday in the cafeteria.

Christian club/ We offers a loving and caring outreach to those that want to know Jesus Christ and the Bible through worship, fellowship, games, and Bible study. Meets 2 times a month on Tuesday at lunch in room 102.

Debate club/ To helps students develop listening and research skills, as well as allowing students to develop their oracy skills and become more confident in communicating their ideas. Meets every other Wednesday at lunch in room 102.

DIY/ DIY creates small projects that are fun and creative. We are a community that enjoys building, creating, and crafting projects from scratch. Meets every every other Wednesday at lunch in room 201.

Disney Club/ Students will watch, listen to soundtracks, sing, and reenact different disney movies. Meets the 1st, and 3rd Mondays every month in room 801.

Dungeons and Dragons club/ In D and D club each person has 1 character and everyone is welcome. Meets every Thursday after school in room 701

Improv/Sketch comedy club/ Club members will explore various forms of performance comedy, and learn to deliver stories/jokes to an audience in a professional manner. Meets every Tuesday and Friday at lunch in room 400

Kindness club/ This club is designed to help promote a fun, safe, inclusive campus where all students are welcome. We will talk about ways to promote kindness, how to spread positivity, and how to be supportive to all Santana's. This is a student lead group. This club meets the 1st and 3rd Thursdays at lunch in room 801.

K-pop Club/ K-pop club was designed to provide a place for K-pop fans to come together and discuss Korean pop groups, watch K-pop music videos, learn more about Korean culture, and learn choreographed dances from different K-pop groups. Meets every other Thursday at lunch in room 505.

Mountain Biking club/ MTB club is a place where bike lovers can come learn about the sport and coordinate with the El Modena HS race team. Students will be provided with information about racing through the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA www.nationalmtb.org). Meets on the first Tuesday of everymonth in Room 104

NJHS/ Stands for National Junior Honor Society and meets one Tuesday a month in the lecture hall. This is an eighth grade only club and the members do fun activities and community service!

Paper airplane and 3-D Models club/ Students will be making models of various objects by folding paper to form a 3-D shape ( airplanes, geometric solids, animals etc). Meets every Friday at lunch in the library

PALS/ PALS stands for Positive Action Leadership Santiago and is a 7th/8th grade, year long elective. PALS is a leadership class that focuses on helping our students, our school, and our community. This club is an elective that take your 7th period class and all members were recommended by their teachers.

Photography Club/ Discussing and practicing photography skills and taking photos. Meets every other Thursday at lunch in room 101.

Slime/ Making and experimenting with Slime. This is a bring your own materials club. Meets every other Tuesday at lunch in room 200.

Sports/ We have many sports you can play here at school and they have different seasons we have soccer, football, basketball,and volleyball.

Video game Club/ Students get together to compete in tournaments through the year. Tournaments will be held on the following consoles X-box 360, and Wii U. Video games range from Mario Cart, Smash Bros to Fifa 2016. Officer meet 1 time a month on the first Tuesday, video game club meets every Thursday at lunch in room 106.

Yu-Gi-Oh car players club/ Students will use their own Yu Gi Oh playing cards to battle each other in a high fantasy card game. The club will meet weekly to train, and the club will host two major tournaments 1st in Dec and 2nd in May. Meets Wednesdays and Thursdays at lunch in room 400.
