Knightly Knews 9/15/17 Friday, September 15, 2017

It's been a great first full week of school. Academics are beginning to ramp up, and activities, athletics and clubs are rolling, and the Welcome Back Social was a hit (see pictures below).

Curriculum Night (Open House) is next Thursday, September 21, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Parents will rotate through each of their child's six classes, providing an opportunity to meet the teachers and gain a perspective of each class. We look forward to every parent attending!

Enjoy your weekend. Pictures and information from this week are below, as well as a schedule of next week's activities at the bottom of the page.

We will draw names and notify winners for 4 weeks, starting September 22nd.

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Robotics Teams

Smith is going to launch two FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Robotics teams this year. Thank you to the four parents who have volunteered their time to lead these two teams. As we will be starting small, we have limited room for 16 students—8 per team, and will be utilizing current 6th & 7th graders only.

There will be a $100 per team member cost to help defray expenses (no PaySchools Club fee required). If your son/daughter is interested and can dedicate weekly time to the team, please click on the link below to sign up your son/daughter. We will hold a random drawing of names for the teams based on student availability. Deadline to register will be next Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. Students will be notified by the coaches if they are on the team during the week of September 25.
